Wits fail to win against Maritzburg United

Some games can look like you have points in your hands. It looks like they will win after they won against Orlando Pirates. But they lost 1-0 in the game against Maritzburg United at Bidvest Wits Stadium. This was their second defeat in the third game.

Catch-up games are always a big test for teams. But they need to play these missing games, even if they are tired. After they finished their path in the Caf Confederation Cup, they are 15 points behind the first Kaizer Chiefs, but Chiefs played four games more than Wits.

Wits could get closer, but they didn’t make things easy for themselves. They got only three points from two games. Now Chiefs need to lose at least two games if Clever Boys want to have any chance of winning the title.
