Will Manchester City defend the EFL Cup title?

The EFL Cup or League Cup is a well-known football competition in England. Because of the sponsors, the competition is currently famous as the Carabao Cup. This year, Manchester City wants to defend the EFL Cup winner title. City beat Southampton 3-1 without much trouble. Thanks to that victory, they reached the quarterfinals.

Pep Guardiola’s team decided to defend the title of the winner from last year. The goals scored Sergio Aguero, Nicolas Otamendi. Nicolas scored one and Sergio scored two goals. Only Jack Stephens scored a goal for Southampton. Manchester City is not the only team to qualify for the quarterfinals.

In addition to City, football clubs such as Everton, Colchester, Leicester qualified for the quarterfinals. Everton won Watford 2-0. Colchester beat Crawley Town 3-1. Leicester beat Burton by the same goal difference. These were convincing victories of all clubs. It will be difficult for any of them to overtake the City, but one never knows.
