Will Dan Malesela take over Mosimane’s job

Dan Malesela

Dan Malesela is ready to accept any offer to take on one of the South African teams. The 54-year-old coach has admitted he would not decline Mamelodi Sundowns’ offer if they no longer have a coach. The former TS Galaxy coach responded to rumors that he might replace Pitso Mosimane.

Recently, there has been increasing mention of whether the club’s management will extend the Pitso Mosimane contract. Pitso is one of the most successful coaches. As a result, it is still uncertain whether the club’s leadership will decide on this step. The coach has revealed that he expects to extend the contract after agreeing to the club’s terms.

But the Daily Sun has confirmed that the Sundowns have already started the process of preparing for the worst-case scenario. By that, we mean a list of several coaches who could replace Pitso Mosimane. The list also includes Dan Malesela. Although a big fan of Sundowns, Dan has admitted that he will refrain from commenting. The main reason is that the club still officially has a coach. He wouldn’t want anyone to think he had his eye on Mosimane’s job.

When asked if he would decline the opportunity to be a coach, he said he would not. But only on one condition, that team no longer has a manager. The former TS Galaxy coach has admitted he has heard of teams who are thrilled with his work. But that doesn’t mean anything because there are no concrete offers yet. However, he received offers from several lower division clubs as well as from the PSL League.
