As PSL announced this on Wednesday night, many exciting fans started to with their preparations. The action will begin just like in the opening weekend, at Harry Gwala Stadium where Maritzburg United played against Highlands Park, following their triumph over Bivest Wits after the first round.

Saturday began with somewhat of weekend’s awning fixture in which two of the Soweto giants will meet on the field. They will square off at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, in the event which is basically a repeat of the 2018 semifinal. The Glamour Boys needed a penalty shot to overcome Cape Town City over the weekend. Orlando Pirates progressed with a late goal from Thembinkosi Lorch which pulled off their 1-0 win over Stellenbosch. However, after their second game with Stellies, they came out in shock with loss 1-0.

The two giants were drawn against one another. They will battle just one week before they prepare to take on in the Premier Soccer League at the FNB Stadium. There is one more evening fixture to announce, the one with SuperSport United (who ended the Baroka’s title defence). They will host the Golden Arrows in Nelspruit at the Mbombela Stadium.
