Gabuza will contribute to the team

Thamsanqa Gabuza transferred from Orlando Pirates, where he was no longer regular to Matsatsantsa in June. The striker completely revitalised himself at the Pretoria side, earning himself praise from coach Tembo. “What exactly made us sign him is that he is a typical No. 9. In this league, if you have a player of Gabuza’s calibre, then you will always have opportunities to score goals. Players like this are rare in this league. Look at how well is Samir Nurkovic doing at Chiefs. He is a completely different type of player, like a Pollen Ndlanya. Big and strong player who can hold the ball.”

Premier Soccer League defenders struggle against strikers like that. So, I knew that if we bring a player like that, it will benefit our quick attacking players like Evans Rustike is or Aubrey Modiba and Bradley.” Thamsanqa Gabuza formed a formidable striking partnership together with Bradley Grobler. Not to mention the fact that Grobler is now one of South Africa’s national team coach Molefi Ntseki’s preferred forwards.

Bradley Grobler and Thamsanqa Gabuza really compliment each other. Bradley is a good player in terms of his movement and he is also an intelligent player who can benefit playing alongside Gabuza. His timing, movements and his first touch are very good as well while Gabuza’s work ethic is unbelievable. I knew that this is going to click but it happened much sooner than I thought, to be honest.”

“I didn’t think that this would happen so soon. However, there is still a lot that can be improved. They still have a lot to offer.” Gabuza attracted the attention of Ntseki who feels that the striker is nearing a return to the Bafana Bafana fold.
