Teboho Mokoena, highly rated midfield maestro is one of the Matsatsantsa’s key players. Now, he feels ready to ply his trade in Europe. This SuperSport United midfielder says that he had ignored reports linking him with PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mokoena was one of the top performers, while in the current 2019/2020 campaign he plays an important role in helping Matsatsantsa reach the 2019 MTN8 final. He was linked with a potential transfer to an unnamed European club prior to the start of the current campaign.
The move was never realized and he stayed at SuperSport. He made it known that he will ignore all the reports that might link him to the local clubs as he is loyal to Matsatsantsa. Soccer 10 is here with Mokoena’s statements about the subject.

“I have been ready to move to Europe since I was 16,”; said Mokoena. “I would like to play there someday. At any time, I am ready to play overseas because I have been preparing myself mentally since I was young for that move.”; he added.
This 22-year-old SuperSport’s player was expected to consider a move to Sundowns during the July-August transfer window after coach Pitso Mosimane showed interest in signing the player.
Mokoena explained that he is only focused on helping Matsatsantsa succeed as the team looks to cling the MTN 8 and PSL title. “I have work to do at SuperSport. Nothing can take my focus away from that, no reported interest from other clubs, nothing can sway my attention from. What I want to achieve, I will achieve with United,” Teboho Mokoena stated.
Mokoena is a part of the South Africa Under-23 and Bafana Bafana set up. He made nine appearances across all competitions for SuperSport this season.
