Stellenbosch signs Robyn Johannes on Free Transfer

It’s official, Stellenbosch has a new team member. They snapped up Robyn Johannes on a free transfer after the defender was released by Bidvest Wits.

Robyn Johannes is officially a member of Stellenbosch FC

Johannes was born in the Cape Town, Western Cape on August 23rd in 1986. His main position is as a centre back but he also plays right-back and defensive midfielder.

“I’m living to fulfil my dream from the age of 15 to become a professional footballer. Coming back to Cape Town was a best decision I ever made in my career.”

Johannes will go into an experienced defensive unit at Stellenbosch together with Morgan Gould and Marc van Heerden already at the club from the Cape Winelands.

It is finally official, Robyn Johannes became a part of the Stellenbosch FC family.”; the club revealed on social media. Steve Barker recruited the player a few seasons ago when he was at the helm of AmaZulu and now, Johannes will team up with him again.

This defender could make his debut for his new team when they take on the game against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday, away from home.
