The Premier Soccer League published a final list of players who will miss this week’s Absa Premiership games due to suspension. These 13 players will be stuck on a bench while their sides will battle to fix up their positions in the PSL results in South Africa. However, some just got out of the suspension as Williard Katsande and Daniel Akpeyi.
Orlando Pirates team won’t see their Happy Jele for their next game against Polokwane City. The game will be held tomorrow with all hopes up for the win. This will be Jele’s second match in suspension after he watched the Soweto Derby from the stands. After this game, he will once again be available for the game.
Kaizer Chiefs’ Eric Mathoho missed the Telkom Knockout semi-final fixture where his team lost 2-1 against Maritzburg United. He was suspended for two matches due to red card suspension and he is about to sit through one more game. On Wednesday, he will miss the Kaizer Chiefs trip to the Western Cape to face Stellnebosch FC.
Premier Soccer League confirms 13 suspensions
Gaston Sirino is as well on a red card suspension. He received a booking on Saturday afternoon. Now, he is set to miss the two of Brazilians’ domestic fixtures. One of them is on Tuesday evening when they will meet with AmaZulu. There are 10 more players who will miss the action for this week at the Premier Soccer League.
AmaZulu’s Tapelo Xoki is still suspended and he will miss the following game against Mamelodi Sundowns. Baroka FC is in a tricky position with two players still suspended; Matome Kgoetyane and Goodman Mosele. Cape Town City is no better with Thabo Nodada and Thato Mokeke both being absent this week. They will sit through their game with Bloemfontein Celtic.
Golden Arrows will also be two players short. Danny Phiri and Brandon Parusnath will both miss the game against Baroka FC. Highlands Park still has Marks Munyai in suspension. Kaizer Chiefs are still struggling with Erick Mathoho while Sundowns are having Gaston Sirino on the bench.
As stated above, Orlando Pirates’ Happy Jele is still unavailable. Stellenbosch’ Morgan Gould is as well stuck on the bench which goes in favour of Kaizer Chiefs who will meet them in clash Tomorrow at Cape Town City stadium.
