Pitso Mosimane is convinced the referee should have ruled for his team in the match against Black Leopards. On Wednesday night, Sundowns played against the Black Leopards and won by a score of 2-1. The renowned club has managed to continue the successful series in the Premier Soccer League and thus achieve even better PSL results.
Although the Sundowns have climbed high in the rankings and away from competition, Pitso thinks his team should have been awarded a penalty. The Sundowns coach thinks there was a hand-wringing game in the first half. For the same situation, the Kaizer Chiefs were awarded a penalty after playing on Tuesday night.
Mosimane knew his team was going to be under a lot of pressure, and because of that, he was ready for several substitutions. To one side he put Langerman and Lyle. Pitso was happy after the game with the Black Leopards most because of player Musonda. It was Musonda who scored a goal that many consider being a top striker. But the referee decided to follow the old rules so Sundowns were left behind by one goal.
Although the referee didn’t award the penalty, Mosimane said he had some good decisions. It was important for the Sundowns to control the game all the time and not receive the goal. Unfortunately, the other team still managed to score. The Sundowns coach thinks the players should remain concentrated all the time to protect their goal. We shall see on Soccer 10 how will the Sundowns play in the next matches.
