The Chiefs’ Lazarous Kambole was urged not to feel the pressure. Everyone is waiting for him to go back and show his best but the main worry is that he may feel too much pressure. However, even the former Orlando Pirates player is standing behind him and cheering.
The former striker, Collins Mbesuma believes that Kambole will finally make his impact upon his return. While the season isn’t going so well so far, as everything is still delayed. At the moment, the exact time of return is still unknown.
Lazarous Kambole under pressure for not scoring any goals
When Kambole joined the Soweto giants, the expectations were huge from the start. This was not something unusual and Kaizer Chiefs expect a lot from any player entering the team. The Zambian international already featured in 12 matches across all competitions and didn’t score even one goal for the Amakhosi.
For that reason, he fears that his career in this club might be coming to an end with the expiration of the contract. Mbesuma, one of the greatest strikers of all time in the Premier Soccer League is trying to comfort the player. He said that Lazarous needs to be cool-headed now that this season is paused.
He can still manage to pull off a great game. “Kaizer Chiefs are a big team and it is natural that they expect a lot from their players. When I joined the team in 2004, I was struggling in the beginning. However, when I scored my first goal everything started to go on smoothly.” – Mbesuma said.
Mbesuma made serious progress in his career, scoring a record of 35 goals in all competitions. He played across 25 competitions in the league during his time with Chiefs. During the 2004/2005 campaign, he got the PSL Player of the Season award.
Lazarous is now maybe under a lot of stress, but even the University of Pretoria believes in him. If he keeps calm and manages to score the first goal, everything else should come naturally. Before joining Chiefs, Lazarous played in the African Champions League, winning many trophies in Zambia. Be ready when the season starts and check results for PSL.
