Kaizer Chiefs’ team captain, Bernard Parker is claiming that loss against Polokwane City was a positive thing for the team. It was the first loss of the season they experienced.
Chiefs lost to Polokwane City with the result of 1-0 at the FNB Stadium over the weekend. They will need to put this behind them when they travel to face AmaZulu FC in KwaZulu Natal.
Kaizer Chiefs against AmaZulu
„While we look at the last game we played, we played good but results did not go our way. It’s a good thing that we know why we did not achieve the results we wanted. Now, we can be twice as prepared for the game against AmaZulu, knowing our limits, do’s and dont’s, what works for us and what doesn’t”; said coach Parker regarding the Chiefs lost the game.
„It is a good thing that we had the test and the defeat to Polokwane was itself a test of character. We have shown character in two of the four games played where we came back from behind and won those games”; Parker continued.
Chiefs coach says they will come into the next match with the same level of energy and spirit they had in all of their games. They learned their lesson in the last match against Polokwane. They need to try harder to collect the points that will keep them on top. Everything they worked for could be for nothing if they fail in upcoming games.
Kaizer Chiefs are currently in the fourth place of the Absa Premiership League standings. It is still in question whether will they manage to fix their current position or not. If they lose in this game, it would have a devastating effect on their overall performance.
Polokwane was launched on the very top right after wining against Kaizer Chiefs. They won 3-1 against SuperSport United which brought them additional points. Their loss against Highland Park wasn’t taken much into account as it was with result 0-0. Highlands park managed to pull off the victory by a penalty kick.
