Daniel Cardoso signed a new deal with Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs had a turbulent month but they announced a recent signing with their golden star – Daniel Cardoso. They exercised a one-year contract option for Daniel Cardoso. It would keep him at the club until the end of the 2020/2021 season.

After all, it is clear now that he is gone and committed to the club for a much longer period. The 31-year-old player has now officially signed the deal with the Glamour Boys. This deal could take him beyond his 34th birthday. That will be the case if the one-year option gets added on his new two-year contract which should be concluded in 2022. Daniel Cardoso confirmed a new contract

Cardoso’s new contract was already confirmed by his current representatives, JS Sports. “He signed a new contract and Chiefs were good enough to practice the one-year option. However, we wanted to go even further than that. We negotiated a new deal, which could possibly run until 2023.”

“I think that credit has to go to the Chiefs. They have shown much faith in Daniel. Clubs will often turn their back on players who are past 30 years of age. However, they have chosen to back him up for several following years which is great.”

Now, the club had to face with the two-window transfer ban by the FIFA across the signing of Andriamirado Andrianarimanana called ‘Dax’. They are likely to focus on making sure that they don’t lose players who could make up the fact that they can’t bring in the new power.

Daniel Cardoso played every single minute of the Amakhosi’s push to the top of the Absa Premiership. He became the central figure at the heart of the Ernst Middendorp’s defence. Cardoso’s new long-term deal is treated as a reward for all the efforts he had put in with the Glamour Boys. Prepare for the next fixture with Betway!
