The Cape Town Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs unveiled their new home and away kit for the season of 2019/2020. Working together with Nike, they created a stunning outfit that is supported by the theme #BackToBrilliance. Their new jersey is bolder than ever and brings out the impact of confidence.
This striking new jersey is a classic that features distinctive, energetic and bright pattern. Hopefully, this kit will bring the players more confidence as well.
It is a vision for the new, fresh and more energetic season that is ahead of them. So let’s find out why and how was this idea born on Soccer 10.
Details about the new kit
The main idea behind this jersey was born from the classic design they wore between 2011 and 2013 when they managed to win the league and the Nedbank Cup. It will be a constant reminder of reachable success.
On home grounds, they will wear an energetic gold and black, while their away kits are crisp white. On sleeves, these kits will be embellished with their signature Gold & Black so there certainly won’t be any confusion. Jessia Motaung added; “As with the home jersey, this is another nod to our rich history. We decided to pay tribute to our white jersey that was donned by legends and former players like Thabo Mooki, Collins Mbesuma, Jimmy Tau, Siphiwe Tshabalala, Knowledge Musona, Kaizer Motaung Jnr and Jabu Pule.”
Jessica Motaung, the K. Chiefs director of marketing spoke about the kits; „This year we’re resetting; resetting our minds to reignite the passion and energy of the Amakhosi.” The new kit will be a representation of their new attitude and a new vision for the team. Hopefully, this idea will contribute to their game.
Of course, the new kit will come with a full range including the women’s and kids jersey, NK 196 track top and a golf shirt. The entire collection is available from 23rd July so you can already run to the store. You will find them in Nike stores, Kaizer Chiefs retail stores and leading retailers in South Africa and neighbouring countries. They can be purchased online as well, on KC Digistore and Nike.com. Chiefs wore the kit for the first time at the Soweto Derby on July 27 at FNB Stadium. Now we wait to see PSL results – to know if the kits are doing their magic.
